After a successful release party at the Comedy Theater on May 3th, Amor Y Muerte has entered the Dutch albums charts this week. We are proud to announce that we took the top position in the Alternative Top 30. Our debut album got to #22 in the Dutch Album Top 100.

“Zorita embraces you in a dance of Love and Death”

Zorita komt op 4 mei aanstaande met het langverwachte debuutalbum “Amor Y Muerte”. Hiervoor tekenden we onlangs een distributiedeal bij Suburban Distribution.

Zorita neemt de luisteraar op “Amor y Muerte” mee over verschillende werelddelen in een spannende dans tussen De Liefde en De Dood. Uitgesproken instrumenten zoals accordeon, viool, trompetten en Spaanse gitaar in samenspel met de karakteristieke rauwe stem van [uit België afkomstige] frontman Carlos Zorita Diaz typeren het album. De plaat is tot stand gekomen in samenwerking met de vaste producer van De Kift, Danny Gras.

Op donderdag 3 mei presenteert Zorita hun debuutalbum “Amor y Muerte” in het Comedy Theater te Amsterdam. Zij worden hierbij bijgestaan door speciale gastmuzikanten, waaronder zangeres Qeaux Qeaux Joans die op het album een duet zingt op het nummer “Close to You”.

Vanaf vrijdag 4 mei 2012 ligt het album in de winkels.

It’s been silent over the last few months. We’ve done some small concerts, but in reality have been working hard backstage on our first album ‘ Amor Y Muerte’ . Here you can watch our guest performance during the Dutch tv show Paal 020 on RTV-NH. The brand new song “Don’t Forget To Breathe” – being the title track of our upcoming album – is performed acoustically. We also performed one of our older songs, “Close To You“, which you can view here.

We had a real good time playing in Antwerp for 6 days during the festival “Zomer van Antwerpen“.
We saw Latin American people dancing with East-European gypsies, Africans with Europeans, and the youngest childeren with the older of age.
That is exactly what we are trying to achieve and share with our audiences: a melting pot of genres, histories, and styles that come together during a magical moment live, on stage. Thank you Antwerp!

Goodbye Anna

With pain in our hearts we say goodbye to Anna, who since the beginning of our existence has provided us and our audiences with her beautiful voice. Anna balanced the testosteron level in the band, which from now on will undoubtedly rocket sky high. She decided to pursue other goals outside the band, and we wish her the best of luck with that. Goodbye Anna.
